Fun school events

As the first months of school pass, the fun events at school start. Owen's first event at school was Grandparents Day. Since we didn't have any grandparents available to attend this event, I attended it and represented for the Thompson Family. Usually the event involves having a picnic outside but the weather at the end of September was really hot! So they moved the event indoors and split us into two groups. One group did an art project and the other group played bingo. Then we all switched once we were done. After that we ate lunch and took home the surprise art project that the kids worked on in the morning. Owen and I had a lot of fun!

Here is his class:

We got to work on the art project first and it was gluing circles to make a caterpillar:

Then we played bingo with jelly beans and Owen just wanted to eat them the whole time:

Here is the surprise art project that they did. It was so cute:

And this is what it said on the back, it made me a little teary eyed:

Savanna's first event of the season was Farm Day! It was an event just for the first graders. Each first grade class was set up with a different activity and they would rotate when they were done. Justin volunteered to help and had a lot of fun! Savanna's class was set up with farm bingo:

In this class, they got to play with mud (chocolate pudding) and spell words out with their hands:

They also got to shuck corn and take it home:
