Christmas Pics

We hope you all had a great Christmas!

On Christmas Eve, Savanna made sure to leave Santa and his reindeer some treats. She was a very good girl and went to bed on time since we were tracking Santa online and she saw that he was getting close! So on Christmas morning, both kids were awake by 6:30am and Savanna was so excited to go downstairs and see what Santa left for her. First she checked to see if Santa ate his cookies and if the reindeer ate their carrots. She ate the cookie that was leftover and was so happy to think that it was Santa that left it for her!

Then we started by opening up our stockings. Savanna really loved her new lip gloss and carried it around with her the whole day! She also got a new toothbrush that plays music and toothpaste to go with it, a princess notebook, hello kitty band-aids, and bracelets. Owen got two new sippy cups and some Diego band-aids! We know he's probably going to need those in the future!

Then we moved on to presents! Savanna wanted to play Santa but she didn't quite understand that the name after the "To" was who the present was for. So since most of the presents had her name on it, either on the to or from part, she thought all of the presents were for her! Silly girl! So Justin took over that job and we proceeded to open our presents. Owen wasn't very interested in opening presents so he ate breakfast instead and just watched us.

Thank you to Grandpa for the Leapster:

Thank you to Great-Gramma Audrey for this movie which we've enjoyed watching a few times already:

My parents came over and that afternoon, we went up to my cousin's house to have dinner. Savanna was very excited to see her cousin, Keira. Owen did a lot of walking there and we were so proud of him! We ate lots of food, as usual, then opened more presents! My brother and his family were unable to make it because they were sick. We were all supposed to find out what my sister-in-law is having since she's pregnant. But instead they opened the envelope with all of us on the phone and we were so happy to find out she's having a BOY!! Yay, Owen is going to have another buddy!!!

Thank you so much to everyone that sent us gifts! We really appreciate the thoughtfulness!

Christmas Card Bloopers

In our many attempts to take the perfect Christmas Card photo, of course there were going to be ones that didn't turn out so well. So I thought I would share them with you! In most of them Owen is not smiling or in the right position, and on the rare occasion that I could catch him smiling, the picture came out blurry!

So here are the ones that didn't make it:

I thought it would be cute to take a pic of Savanna kissing Owen but all I got was the back of her head! Doesn't she have beautiful hair though:

Let's try taking some by the Christmas tree:

Can I get a smile, please:

And this one is my favorite by far. Justin had the camera and I was in charge of putting Owen in his spot. So I go and put him on the pillow really quickly and Justin snaps the shot and all he got was my hair, hilarious:

Walking

Owen has been walking more and more these days! He can take up to 20 steps at a time, but usually it's around 10 most of the time. It's so cute to watch him walk from place to place and he gets really proud of himself! He's going to be all over the place now! Oh noooooo!!! lol

Here's a cute, short video of him taking some steps:

Savanna's Holiday Show

Today, Savanna had her annual holiday performance at school. She was really excited to show us the six songs that she has learned over the past several weeks. Savanna looked so cute in her winter sweater and her hat, scarf, and gloves. It was perfect since it was cold and rainy out! We are so proud of her and how well the whole class did! They were all soooo cute!

Here's Savanna this morning after getting dressed:

Patiently waiting for the program to start:

This was their last song and they got to throw glitter confetti up in the air, they loved that part:

I have several videos to post of some of the songs that they sang. I hope the videos come out well and you can see Savanna in the middle with the blue hat on.

Christmas Card Lane

Last weekend, we went and walked around Christmas Card Lane! It's was a bit chilly (around 50 degrees) but we bundled up and sipped on hot cocoa to keep us warm! We first met up with two of Savanna's friends and their families and fed all of "the girls" dinner and then packed up and headed out to see the lights! Usually we just drive around and see the lights from the car but this time we enjoyed walking and seeing the details up close. We liked seeing the different themes and Savanna's favorites were all of the Disney ones. I really liked the train sets, which I never noticed before. These houses did such an awesome job at decorating! They definitely outdid our set up!

Here are pics from our night:

My Gym

About two weeks ago, I enrolled Owen in My Gym! It's a fitness center just for kids. They have different play structures and exercise equipment that help develop motor skills, coordination, and flexibility. Owen loves it there! We are in a class that is just for a playgroup that I am involved in and it's so fun knowing everyone and having our kids all be around the same age. Owen's favorite part by far is the swings (surprise!) or hanging on a bar and swinging. He also loves when they blow bubbles, which is part of the separation time where the parents step back and watch their kids interact with each other and the teachers. We really love going there and look forward to it every week! Owen is usually so tired after that he is ready to pass out in the car!

Park Fun

Today we went to a birthday party at the park. It was pretty cloudy out and a little windy, but eventually the sun came out and it warmed up. Savanna got to play with her friends from school so she was really excited the second we got there. Owen was excited to go on the swings and explore the sand and everything around. He pushed the stroller around and practiced taking more steps. Savanna and her friends, I just call them "the girls" had fun going around the park and exercising on the fitness course. We had a great time!

Then it was time for a little catnap after lunch:
