Horse Camp

Last week, Savanna attended a 4-day long horse camp at an Equestrian Center in Temecula. It was 5 hours each day, where they would groom, feed and ride the horses in the morning and then do arts and crafts in the afternoon. This was the first time Savanna has ever attended any type of summer camp and she absolutely loved it! She actually got a little preview of what horse camp would be like a few weeks ago when she visited this same place with her girl scout troop. It made her even more excited for the actual week of horse camp to come.

Here she is with her friend, Savannah and they are grooming Razzy:

They also got to paint a horse (with washable paint, of course).

Adventures at Legoland

Last Sunday, we were invited to go to Legoland by Justin's boss and his family. It was great to finally meet them and they are so sweet! Savanna automatically hit it off with their oldest daughter who is 8 years old. It was too cute.

We got there before they did so we decided to walk around and go on a few rides. It's been at least 5 years since my last visit to Legoland. It's weird to think that the last time I was at Legoland I only had one child and now I have three! I used to take Savanna there when she was 1 and we could only go on a few rides. One of our favorites was the Fairytale boat ride and when we all went on it again, it brought back so many memories for me. Everyone loved the ride, even Gavin! We loved it so much that when the other family arrived, we went on it again!

Then we headed to the water area:

One of the other rides that Gavin could go on was this cute little train:

After that, we ventured to the driving school area. There were two rides, one for the 3-5 year olds and then the other for the 6 and up kids. Savanna went in line with her friend while Owen went on a helicopter ride with Justin. Then Owen decided he wanted to drive a car like his sissy. They both did so awesome at these rides! It must be all their experience driving the Escalade! lol They were very excited to receive their own (fake) driver's licenses.

Savanna was asked if she liked roller coasters and I think she said yes, but maybe was a little unsure. When she went on her first coaster ride, The Dragon Coaster, she absolutely loved it! Then she went on the Lego Technic Coaster and loved it too! I was so surprised because that coaster ride had a big drop and I thought for sure she was going to be scared. I guess that just means our little girl is growing up and ready for new adventures!

While Savanna was on the Dragon Coaster, I took Owen to the Joust ride. He loved this one too! It's so cute watching him on a ride by himself. He's such a big boy!

Their last ride was the Beetle Bounce. It's like a freefall type of ride but much smaller. Owen was a little unsure of this ride so he didn't go on it. I think some rides remind him of the traumatic pirate ride, lol! Gotta love their smiles on this one!

We loved our trip to Legoland and can't wait to go back!

Bowling Extravaganza!

Last Saturday, we celebrated Savanna's 7th birthday by having a bowling party! This was the first year that we didn't have a party at home and I was perfectly fine with it! :) Savanna decided a while ago that she wanted to have a bowling party and we were excited that the day was finally here! She invited a few of her close friends from school and her cousins were also in attendance. We rented out three lanes so that some adults were able to bowl on one lane and the other two lanes were for the kids. It was a fun two hours! We had a dedicated party helper and she made sure we had everything we needed. All I had to do was bring the cake, candles and kids! It was great having everything ready when we got there and then not having to clean up after! They do cosmic bowling during parties and it was so much fun having all the lights turned off and the black lights on so everything glowed. They even had glow necklaces for all the kids.

Here is Savanna ready to get the party started:

This was Owen's first time bowling and he had so much fun:

Hoping for a strike:

It's cosmic bowling time! Here's Owen being silly:

Doesn't this look like fun:

Then our party helper did the Cha-Cha Slide with everyone:

Gavin managed to sleep for about half the time, he didn't mind the noise at all:

They also did the limbo but everyone went so fast that I couldn't catch Savanna fast enough with my camera:

Owen was too impatient to wait for cake so I let him have one of the cookies from the top of the cake. He was so happy:

A cute group shot and I have no idea what Owen was doing:

Look at this awesome cake! Thanks again to my sister-in-law, Emily for her wonderful cake making talent:

After the bowling party ended, we had family over for more food thanks to Tita Penny. Savanna got to open all of her presents and here she is showing us one of her favorite presents, a pair of roller skates:
