May 2013: Girls Trip to Hawaii

Last month, I was fortunate enough to take a short trip to Hawaii.  My sister-in-law, Emily, was working a conference and she let my cousin, May, and I tag along!  May and I only had four days there but it was so much fun!  What better way to celebrate May's 40th birthday!

Free Mai Tais!  Thanks Alaska Airlines!

Our beautiful hotel, The Hilton Hawaiian Village

On our agenda first: A hike to the top of Diamond Head

Those stairs were not my friend

But it was worth it once we got to the top.  Look at this view!

Next on the agenda:  Parasailing!

So much fun!

Next on the agenda: Luau at PCC

Mar 2013: Go Blue Cheetahs!

Savanna played soccer this spring and lucky for her, Justin volunteered to coach her team.  He LOVES soccer and Savanna loved having him as her coach.  Their team's name was the Blue Cheetahs.  They were a great group of girls who played very well together.  They all had fun during the games and that's all that matters, right? Savanna was #2.

Feb 2013: Go Yankees!

Spring baseball season starts in February and Owen was so excited to be playing Pony baseball for the first time!  His team was the NY Yankees and they were a great group of boys with really great coaches too.  Owen did awesome during each game and he learned new skills and improved a lot over the season!  We were so proud of him!

Jan 2013: New Year's in the Desert!

We celebrated the New Year at the desert.  We got a new toy hauler for Christmas and this was our first trip out with it.  Unfortunately, on our second night, our heater went out.  No hot air to keep us warm!  Oh no!  We wound up having to go to Walmart to pick up some space heaters and running the generator all night to run the little heaters.  The kids enjoyed riding their quads and even Gavin had his own little Power Wheels quad, but of course it couldn't keep up with the big kids.

That's our new toy hauler on the right

Dec 2012: Christmas

The kids received a ton of presents from near and far again this year.  Thank you so much to those that mailed gifts from far away!  We appreciate it very much!

Dec 2012: Gavin's 1st Haircut!

Gavin received his first haircut on December 21, 2012.  I miss his curls so much now that we keep his hair pretty short.  Maybe we'll let it grow out again come winter.  And I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there will still be some little curls!

Dec 2012: Ornament Making

We decided to get the families together and have the kids roll out some salt dough to make ornaments!  The kids did awesome picking out which ornaments they wanted to make and then painting them after they cooled down.
