It's Haircut Time!

It's that time of year! The weather is warming up and it's time for summer haircuts! Savanna's hair was getting really long again, her hair seems to grow sooooo fast! It's been a little over a year since her last haircut. She was excited to get her hair cut because she is planning on donating her hair. Such a sweet and thoughtful thing to do! Owen's hair was getting long, too. His hair was starting to get in his eyes and it was getting really thick and hot!

Here are some before and after shots of them:

She got pink and black and white feathers put in her hair. Such a big girl!

It's A Jungle Out There

Last week, Savanna's class performed another play titled "It's a Jungle Out There." It was put on with the same 2nd grade class that did the planets play a few months ago. This play was about finding the key to happiness. All of the kids did a really great job! I loved watching it and seeing how much hard work went into it. Savanna played an elephant and she helped sing a song towards the end called "Good Friends." I'm so proud of all of them!

Smiles

I love when my kids smile. It just melts my heart. I also really love when my kids laugh. I think they have the cutest laughs in the world. I can't help but smile when they are happy. Another thing that makes me happy is when they all play nicely together and show love for each other. It's the best thing ever!

So here are some smiles for you all out there to make your day as happy as mine:

First up is Savanna and her toothless smile. She lost her other upper tooth just recently and is making the tooth fairy go broke! It's just another reminder that she is growing up so fast:

Next is Owen and his cute smile. Sometimes it's hard to ask a 3-year old to smile and actually get a genuine smile so I think I captured these just perfectly:

And last, but not least, is Gavin. I love gummy smiles. He is now adding a wrinkly nose to his smiles and it really makes me melt when he does that. I love it!

And some sibling love photos:

And here they all are enjoying Savanna's new bed:

Mother's Day

Mother's Day this year was so much fun for me! It started early (YAY!) with Mother's Day Tea at Owen's school. When I arrived, Owen greeted me at the door and gave me a kiss and then escorted me to the kitchen where he showed me my seat. It was so cute! Once all the moms were seated, the kids sang a few songs and then it was lunchtime! Then we were presented with our gifts. Owen painted a pot orange (one of his favorite colors) and inside were flower pens. I loved it! His teacher also made us a cd, it was so sweet!

We were told to wear our fancy sun dresses and sun hats to the tea party, it was fun to dress up:They are all so cute and so sweet:

I loved this present:

I told Justin that I wanted to go out to eat the day before Mother's Day so we didn't have to wait or face any crowds. So he decided to celebrate Mother's Day on Saturday instead of Sunday. Justin and the kids surprised me on Saturday morning with flowers, Starbucks, donuts, cake, chocolate, and cards. It was great! Savanna also gave me her present that she made at school. It was a really cute book with a bag of goodies that went with it. I loved the whole day and felt so special!

We went to a really yummy BBQ place where you could throw peanut shells on the floor:

I hope all you wonderful mommies out there had a great Mother's Day!

Where did April go?

The month of April sure did fly by! I'm sure it was because for 2 weeks in April the kids were on Spring Break. We didn't have any major plans but we tried to keep ourselves occupied. We went to the library a few times and also the park. We also attended two birthday parties and the kids had a blast! Savanna lost another tooth so we went to Toys R Us to spend the money that the tooth fairy gave her. Owen is just growing up to be such a big boy! He loves playing the Wii and loves going to school! Gavin is also getting bigger! He started saying Dada and is scooting everywhere. He just started pulling up on anything and everything a few days ago! I can't believe he will be 9 months old next week!

Here are some new pics:

At the end of March, Savanna received an award for writing! We are so proud of her!

This was taken when Gavin turned 8 months old last month:
