Sleepover!

Hope you all had a nice Memorial weekend! We went to my cousin's house on Sunday for a bbq. I ate too much as usual, but we all had a great time! When it was time to leave, Savanna kept saying she wanted to stay, so we let her have her first sleepover!! She was so excited about it! It was really weird driving home without her but we knew she was enjoying herself. She had so much fun with her cousin Keira! She talks about it all the time and wants to do it again soon!

Water Fun!

Last Saturday, Savanna went to another birthday party for one of her classmates! This time it was at a local YMCA. When we got there she got to go into the sprinkler pool area. Savanna was a little hesitant at first since she's not too used to being around pools, but once she saw all of her friends, she loved it!! Of course she had to make sure her Daddy was nearby at all times. But she had a lot of fun and loves being around her friends!!

Owen pulled the canopy down from his carseat and this was his reaction:

Owen is 7 months old!

Today, Owen turns 7 months old. Pretty soon I'm going to be saying, "Owen is a year old!" Wow, where does the time go? Owen is sitting up unassisted now and has started babbling a lot. He says Dada and smiles every time he says it. He loves to eat and is not very picky (let's hope that continues). Owen tries to crawl but hasn't coordinated his lower body with his upper yet so he winds up going in a circle.

Kitchen Remodel Update

The granite countertops were installed last Saturday. And I must say, I absolutely LOVE the way it turned out!!! Our kitchen looks so different already. We're still waiting for the oven, dishwasher and faucets to be installed. Once that's done, it will be so nice to have everything complete!!


The tile floor came out really nice too. It compliments everything very well.

Happy Mother's Day!!

Hope all of the wonderful mommies out there had a nice day yesterday!!



I woke up to Savanna saying, "Happy Mother's Day Mommy!" Then she brought me downstairs to show me a little surprise. They went out and got some beautiful flowers, a card, donuts, my favorite coffee, and one of my favorite desserts, a fruit tart! I had a nice, relaxing day. Savanna also made me a really cute mother's day present at school. She painted a heart with different colors and pasted a poem and a picture of the two of us on it.

Kitchen Remodel - Day 1

Saturday was the first day of our kitchen remodel! They started by demolishing the countertops. It was really loud! But luckily it went by quickly. Now we have no kitchen for one week, well actually we can use the oven, but that's about it.

I'm so excited that this is all finally happening and I can't wait for it to be finished! Once it's all done, we'll have granite countertops, new stainless steel appliances, new sinks and faucets and a new tile floor!
