Fun Times!

Today we went to the Wild Animal Park with my brother, sister-in-law and niece. It was a bit crowded since it was spring break for a lot of people, but we managed to see a lot and had a great time! Butterflies and orchids were on display but we weren't able to see the butterflies since the line was too long! We did manage to see the new lion cubs and a super cute baby giraffe! There were lots of baby animals to oooh and awww over!

Time to try solids!

Yesterday evening, Owen tried his first solid food!! We gave him a multi-grain cereal mixed in with some formula and he did not like it at all!! We expected this since Savanna had the same exact reaction! Owen was so excited to see the spoon and would open his mouth wide but once he actually tasted the cereal, he gave us the yucky look. So then we tried giving him some banana and I think he kinda liked it! So we're going to move onto oatmeal and hope he likes it like his big sister did.

Happy Easter!

Hope you all had a fun bunny day! We relaxed today and did some work around the house and spent time outside since it was a beautiful day!

Yesterday, we went to an egg hunt at the local rec center along with my brother and his family, and my cousin and his family. We were running late and Savanna missed the egg hunt, but fortunately for her, her cousin Keira was nice enough to share her eggs so she could trade them in for a prize! Thanks again Keira! We all had a great time! My niece Maddie kept wanting to hug Owen, it was really cute. But Owen was cranky and wanted no part of it!

Spring Parade

Today, Savanna had her Spring Parade at school! When we got there, she got to put her bunny ears on and then all of the kids ate lunch. After they were done, one of the teachers handed out bags for the Easter egg hunt. Each child was allowed to hunt for two eggs outside and keep them. Then they all marched through each class, just like a parade! They all did so well and looked so cute and Savanna had so much fun!!

Happy St. Patty's Day!

Larry the Leprechaun (a make believe person, of course ;P) snuck into Savanna's class at school today. He played with their toys, left behind his footprints and a note with a pot o'gold filled with chocolate for the kids. But none of the kids could find Larry! They searched the whole school, went through every class and even the office, but Larry was too sneaky and could not be found!!


Oh, this was the highlight of Savanna's day! The second I walked into her class, she quickly pointed out the leprechaun's footprints. The whole way home she kept talking about it and how she wanted to find Larry and take a picture with him. It was too cute!! Of course she wore green today and she loved how everyone else at school did too!

Happy 5 Months to Owen!

Yesterday, Owen turned 5 months old! Wow, where has the time gone? Owen is almost ready to eat solid foods! I'm sure he can't wait as he is always staring at us while we're eating. But we're going to wait until he turns 6 months old. Owen is also rolling more and grabbing at everything. He's also drooling like crazy and putting everything in his mouth so we may see his first tooth soon!

Bedtime Story

Last night before I put the kids to bed, Savanna decided to "read" Owen a bedtime story. It was so cute watching the two of them lay in bed together and hearing Owen talk back to Savanna while she was reading.

I haven't been very good about taking pictures lately, sorry! But I did manage to take two videos of Owen.

This first one is a really short clip of him laughing. It just brings such a big smile to my face when I hear him laugh! I love it!
