Turkey Day

For Thanksgiving, we went to my cousin's house for a potluck dinner. My brother and his family were there along with more cousins and some friends. We were excited to have deep fried turkey and all the fixins'! Since it was a potluck, we brought mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, pumpkin cheesecake, and jalapeno popper dip! We ate most of the dip before the turkey was done and probably shouldn't have, but it was so good! Owen ate lots of turkey and mashed potatoes and had fun playing with his cousins. He also took more steps there too! Savanna always has a great time with her cousin, Keira and they were non-stop the whole time we were there. Justin had turkey for the first time in about 8 years and he loved it! We all ate way too much as usual and kept hovering over the food for the rest of the evening since it was all so yummy! We were all very thankful for wonderful food and fabulous family!!

The latest and some new pics

Sorry I've been a bad blogger lately and haven't posted anything. Not much is new with us. I haven't even taken any new pictures for the last two weeks until yesterday. We're looking forward to Thanksgiving and the holiday weekend. We get to start decorating for Christmas! Woo hoo! I'm excited about that, but I'm hoping Owen won't try to pull up on the tree or anything dangerous like that! I don't want to have to put a gate around the tree!

Speaking of Owen, he's getting closer to walking! He can stand on his own and will take one or two steps towards me or from one side of the couch to the other. He still enjoys swimming and does well going under the water many times.

Savanna is still loving school and has just joined a new art class on Thursdays. She learns about a new artist every week and tries to imitate their art/paintings. Since there is no school this Thursday, art class will be tomorrow and she will be learning about Jackson Pollock, who is famous for his "splatter" paintings. Savanna's art teacher has advised us to dress her in old clothes as the kids will probably be getting paint on themselves! I can't wait to see Savanna's impression!

So that's the latest with the kids and here are some new pics of them:

Party Fun

Yesterday, we went to my niece's 2nd birthday party. We went there right after Owen's swimming lesson (he went under the water for the first time and did so well!) so he was tired and didn't get to take his afternoon nap. But he still enjoyed going in the jumper with Savanna and Justin! We also enjoyed seeing our extended family and catching up with them.

Here are pics of the fun:
