Today is picture day for Savanna at school. She wanted me to curl her hair this morning so I did! She looks so much older with her hair curled! I love the way it came out and she looked so pretty in her whole outfit.

I have always loved the plumeria plant. When it flowers, it's so pretty and I love the smell. So I decided to buy two plumerias back in June and try to grow some on my own. When one died, I wasn't surprised because, well, I have a brown thumb! That's why there aren't very many plants inside our house. But I had hope for the other plumeria! When it started growing leaves and showing signs of flowering, I got so excited!! I'm very proud of myself and I can't wait until all of the flowers bloom. Look how beautiful they are so far:
Yesterday, Justin and I celebrated our 5-year anniversary! We went out to dinner and talked about all our accomplishments over the past five years. We feel very lucky to be where we are and to have a beautiful and healthy family. We have grown and learned so much!

Today, Justin took the day off from work and Savanna took the day off from school and we headed to the Wild Animal Park! Justin hasn't been there in a long time and he was excited to go on the new tram ride and see the new viewing station. We only stayed for a few hours because it got really hot but we had a lot of fun! Our favorite part was feeding the ducks! A really big, pretty, white swan, which I just researched is called the Coscoroba swan, kept coming up to Justin wanting food. It was really funny watching the swan peck at Justin's hand even when it was empty. We all took turns feeding the ducks and we loved having them eat out of our hands!

Owen has a super soft, cuddly, stuffed dog named Puppers. He sleeps with Puppers but usually Owen throws Puppers around and he will wind up on one end and Puppers will be on the other. But tonight, Owen actually fell asleep hugging Puppers and it was so cute! I made Justin tip toe into Owen's room and quietly snap some shots and try not to wake him up. Owen must have been really tired because Justin took two pics and Owen didn't move an inch! And let me tell you, this boy is a light sleeper!

Yesterday we went to a new park that had a huge playground and a splash pad! A splash pad is an area where the kids can run around and splash in water that comes out of the ground. They're kind of like really cool sprinklers made for kids! And the water just gets soaked up into the ground so it makes it safer for the kids. Savanna and Owen had fun exploring the water!
Then it was off to the big playground next to the splash pad. Savanna loves to climb and they had several structures for her to climb and have fun on! She also loved going down the tall, enclosed slide!

Our little boy has only one more month before he turns the big 1!!!! I really cannot believe how fast time has gone by. I still reminisce about the days when Owen was a newborn and would sleep on my chest. But these days, I can barely get him to stop crawling around everywhere!! Owen's newest accomplishment is standing on his own for a few seconds. He just started doing that this past weekend. He still loves to cruise along the furniture and climb the stairs to find Max or crawl after Savanna. Owen also loves to dance, which to him is waving his hands in the air and clapping to the music, and it's so cute!! I'm trying to get it on video so hopefully one of these days it will happen.
