Christmas before February is over

Hi all! I know this is late and I know that I've been lagging on the blog, but better late than never, right?

Christmas at our house was pretty quiet, which we enjoyed. Since we hosted the family holiday party at our house the week before, we didn't have to travel anywhere which was really nice. Although we missed our family on the east coast, hopefully we'll make it back there one of these years! It's just so expensive to buy 4 tickets! Hope you all understand.

So the night before Christmas, the kids got ready for Santa and his reindeers to arrive. They got to stay up a little later than normal to bake some cookies and set up his food station on the dining table. Savanna was very excited that Santa was finally coming! Owen was excited too but I don't think he completely understood what was going on. He just goes with the flow most of the time!

Then on Christmas morning, of course Savanna wakes up early and of course Owen decides to sleep in! So we wind up waking Owen so we could all go downstairs together to open presents. We always start with our stockings and then move to the presents under the tree. The big surprise gift for the kids this year was getting them a Cadillac Escalade truck that they both could ride in! This big present was from the grandparents, so thank you Gramma, Grandpa, Lolo, Lola, and Lola Penny!!! The kids absolutely loved it and were so surprised to see it that morning! They received so many presents, thank you everyone that gave them or sent them presents. We love you all and are so grateful to you all!

Enjoying puppy chow sent from Auntie Jordan (thank you, we loved it):
